CHICKEN SCHEZWAN FRIED RICE

To begin with this recipe hot and spicy but on the other hand, it is delicious as well. This does not even need any side dish with it as it is so good on its own. This dish is full of protein, vitamin and this is quite healthy as well as full’s you up. Fried rice or Chinese food to be specific has always been a great pleasure for we Indian and it is quite easy to make as well. Also does not require a lot of energy or time. Hence let us not waste any more time get straight into the dish.

 

HOW TO PREPARE SCHEZWAN CHICKEN FRIED RICE

 

  • Take 1 teaspoon chilli powder in a bowl and make a smooth creamy solution out of it from adding water as much as required. Keep this by the side and move on to take 15-18 chillies and dipping them in warm water until they soften. After that blend all these chillies and make a smooth paste out of this. This amount of chilly is for at least 4 servings.
  • Then add some olive oil to a pan and put all the finely chopped garlic and ginger to it until it softens and starts leaving aroma.
  • Then add finely chopped onions to it continuing with sugar, salt, red chilli paste, vinegar, soya sauce and tomato sauce.
  • If you got Sichuan pepper then add it to the pan or else go for regular black pepper. The Sichuan pepper adds high flavour to the dish.
  • Stir them well and mix it until the aroma comes out.
  • Then you also need to look into the matter that the paste does not get burned. Hence add water from time and again to save it from burning.
  • Now continue to cook until all the water has evaporated.
  • Then as the water is gone and we are only left with the paste turn off the flame and keep it aside.
  • To the same pan add some chickens and start to toss and sauté it on a low flame or in a medium flame.
  • The reason why we are doing in the same pan is the leftover of the sauce will get mixed with the chicken and cook it tenderly.
  • Then add all the pre-boiled veggies, garlic and other ingredients like the salt, sugar, vinegar soya sauce etc.
  • Next here add the pre-prepared chilli sauce which is the hero to your dish and keep stirring and mixing properly.
  • As all the ingredients are mixed and have got into each other’s flavours you can add a little bit of water. If you want to skip this step then you can take a small bowl and add water and the soya tomato and chilli sauce with this water and mix. This mixture or the sauces mention in the above either of these two needs to be added.
  • Then the last and the final step add the boiled basmati rice to this and keep stirring and mixing it well until the rice has taken all the flavours of the pan and also has shared its own flavour.
  • Mix all these for 3-5 minutes and its ready to be served followed by going inside your tummy.
